A Kibble About Us...

My name is Denise Schirr. I married Rudi in May of 1989. Between the two of us, we have three adult children and four grand children. We never had children together as the kids were 4, 7 and 9 when we met. They were the perfect age to travel and camp with.

Being that Rudi was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, CO, we did a lot of camping.  It was especially fun when we would meet up with his sister and brother and their families in Colorado. At that time, his sister lived in Phoenix, AZ and Brother lived in San Diego. Colorado was a great half way point for all of us to meet.  We have much love and admiration for the beautiful outdoors and nature.

We have seven (AMRA) American Mi-Ki Registered dogs and two AKC Yorkshire Terriers. We are adding one more AKC Parti colored Yorkie (girl) to our menagerie. She will be coming from Crownridge. We love, love, love Loryn and her beautiful dogs. There is nothing like working with a reputable breeder.

We also have a Yellow Lab that loves to hunt with my husband. All of our dogs are in our house. They are members of our family and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I can not forget to mention our African Grey parrot, Basil. He likes to tell the dogs what to do, praise them when they are good and scold them when they are bad.

I worked for NIBCO, at the corporate office in Elkhart, IN as their communication technician for nine years. I programmed their telephone and voice mail systems, installed phones and performed cross connects (wiring). I was the tech for both corporate and NIBCO's Elkhart factory.

Rudi works for AEP - American Electric Power/ I & M - Indiana & Michigan Electric. He is a lineman. He has been with AEP for over 21 years. Rudi is looking forward to retiring one day and spending the rest of his life with me spoiling our fur babies.

In 1995, Rudi and I started our own rubber stamp and scrap booking business, called Ink Angel, Inc.. I held the office of "President".  We won the Rubber Stampin' Retailer of the Year award, two years in a row from a National Trade Magazine. The magazine was published every month for the stamping industry. As we traveled to different trade shows, it was neat to be recognized by other store owners and industry vendors from all over the country that knew who we were because of winning the award.

I want to note that it was Rudi's dream to always have his own business, not mine. There came a day when I was tired of living his dream. The day to day tasks of ordering, planning, stocking etc. was wearing on me. Aafter nine years of the business, we decided to sell out.  I was tired of living his dream. ha ha However, I was the The only thing I miss are my employees and customers. I love, love love people. I had the best employees and customers ever!

We recently were told that we are only allowed two pets in the city limits.  I told the nice man that down the street lives a family with nine kids, in a two bed room house.  How many children are they going to have to get rid of?  We love all of our fur kids! We've decided to move out of the city limits.  We are thrilled that the city has allowed us some time to find a place to move to.  A place in the county where our dogs are allowed. Many of our neighbors around us have three or more dogs. Most are much, much larger than our dogs. Legally, they should have to get rid of their 'extra' dogs if we have to... but we trust that God has an awesome plan for us. No, not more dogs. ha ha ha   We know our limits.

Breeding dogs isn't easy when you care and love them like your non-fur, human children. LOL  However, I can't imagine doing anything else.  Yeah, I'd say our furless kids might be a little bit jealous! ha ha ha

We are truly blessed.
